This is one of the very first photo-collages I ever made. At that time (2011) I was living 3/4 of the time in Northern Argentina where I started this kind of work. Not only because I had the time to make such a tiny, precise, dense, accumulation of pieces together but also because I was discovering a new culture and each piece of it represents its specificity.

That Northern Argentina I’m talking about is far away from Patagonia where everyone will ask you if that is where you live! Why is Patagonia so famous, so representing what Argentina is in it’s whole? It might be because of the gauchos (although they are everywhere), because of the immensity of the landscapes (where I live is quite astonishing too but still unknown) maybe because of that mythic n°40 road?

Whatever, Argentina has more than 5000 km in it’s length so it has all kinds of landscapes, wheather and people…
